Complaint

CLAIMS

When you shop at Shapeit.dk, we follow Danish consumer law. According to the legislation, you always have a 2-year right of complaint on your purchases. It is important not to confuse warranty with the right of complaint, as we do not offer a warranty on any products. When you make a complaint about an item within 6 months of purchase, it is us as a company that has the burden of proof regarding whether there is a manufacturing defect. For the last 6-24 months, it is you as the consumer who has the burden of proof, so you need to ensure that there has not been any mishandling of the product on your part.

• When you discover a defect or deficiency in your item, you must report it within a reasonable time. Reasonable time means that this should occur within 2 months from when you discover the defect. This also means that we must receive the item within those 2 months.

• After you have discovered a defect, damage, or similar issue with a product, please contact us as soon as possible. Please send an email to info@shapeit.dk in which you include your order number and attach clear pictures of the damage or defect.

• Once we have assessed the submitted pictures, we will ask you to send the item back to us, where we will further evaluate the defect/damage. We will, of course, send you a return label that you can use when sending the item back to us. (We would like to point out that you are welcome to wash the item before returning it if it has been used)

• When we receive your item, it will be assessed by professional experts who can determine if there is a manufacturing defect. In the event that your complaint is justified and it is not just general wear and tear, we will repair the damage or defect with a tailor. If we cannot offer this, we will offer you a new item.

• NOTE: If we cannot offer you the same or a similar item, the amount can be refunded. Please be aware that we will deduct shipping costs when using our return label.

What is wear and tear:

Please note that wear and tear is evident when the signs of use on the item are clear. For example, when the elastic in the material has degraded, the fibers have pulled apart in exposed areas (for example, the crotch where the fabric is stretched), or if the item is very faded, has lost color, has pilled, or similar from washing or fabric softener. Additionally, seams that have clearly pulled apart and not just come undone incorrectly are also not grounds for a complaint.

It may also be that the size was not 100% correct, or that the item has been subjected to more physical stress than you as a consumer can reasonably expect it to withstand.
